How we measure Body Composition
Do you ever wonder exactly how much muscle mass and body fat you have or wanted to know what your body fat percentage is? With the InBody Scanner 270 at Anchored Nutrition we’re able to get an accurate reading of your entire body composition including how much water weight you’re retaining, your lean body mass, dry lean mass (muscle tissue) and even where you distribute your weight; how cool is that! We’re also able to determine any left and right imbalances with legs and arms and what side of your body stores more weight and muscle than the other.
How does it work?
The InBody Scanner is extremely easy to use and the best part is it’s non-invasive and it gives us an accurate reading of your body composition in only 15 seconds. No pinching, no discomfort, or no poking involved! All you have to do is stand on the scanner and hold the electrode handles and in 15 seconds the test is complete.
When you stand on the Inbody Scanner, low levels of currents are sent throughout the body using the hand and foot electrodes. From that, the impedance the currents encounter is measured and your body composition is determined and calculated.
We’re able to use the results from the InBody Scanner and help guide you to your goals whether if it’s to gain more dry lean mass, have a lower body fat percentage or be in a healthy range for body composition.
How much does it cost?
The initial InBody Scan is $75 and any additional scan following is $50. The sessions also include a thorough analysis of the results and what each reading indicates as well as a Nutrition coaching consult.
